Toothbrush, snacks and good habits: the family guide
Which toothbrush, how much toothpaste, what to pack for snack time: practical answers to the questions you ask us every day.

Toothbrush and toothpaste
A small-headed, soft-bristled brush, replaced every 2-3 months. Fluoride toothpaste: a rice-grain smear under age 3, a pea-sized amount from 3 to 6. Twice a day, two minutes, and the evening brush is the most important one.
Tooth-friendly snacks
Fresh fruit, bread and olive oil, cheese, plain yoghurt, raw vegetables. Limit: packaged juices, snack cakes, filled biscuits and gummy sweets that stick to the teeth. Water is the only 'unlimited' drink.
Small daily tricks
After sweets, drink water or eat a piece of cheese. No bottles or sugar in bed. Say goodbye to the pacifier by age 3 to avoid affecting palate growth.
Together with the child, together with the family: good habits are learned at home and reinforced at every check-up. See you in the clinic!
